My Weekly Vegan Food Staples on a Plant Based Diet

Hey Sistas! Here are my inexpensive vegan food staples that I eat throughout the week. I do switch it up and try new things and new fruits that are in season, but these foods are definitely implemented on a weekly basis. I don’t like to calorie restrict, but I consume around 2,500 – 3,000 calories per day on this lifestyle. Watch the video for more details!

Food Staples:

  • Bananas – I eat a bananas quite a bit on this lifestyle and I love them for the convenience. I can eat about 6-7 bananas and I can drink 8 bananas in a smoothie in one meal setting
  • Medjool Dates
  • Mangoes- fresh & frozen
  • Frozen Pineapple
  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Gluten Free Corn Pasta
  • Organic Tomatoe Puree
  • Organic Mashed Potatoes
  • Sushi – Cucumber Rolls & Avocado Rolls
  • Organic Grapes

  1. I was thinking of going vegan a while back, then I found out I was pregnant and they say it’s not good to make a drastic change like that while pregnant. Now the baby is born and I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?

    • You should give it a shot! I have been vegan for about two and a half years and I am loving it! I would never go back, so much more energy and weight control is now quite effortless. I would check out nutritionfacts.org for great information about health and plant based diets. For some recipe inspiration check out a very high rated blog “Oh she glows”. I hope you try this diet out, all the plants will make you feel amazing:)

  2. Greetings! I’ve been a vegetarian for 11 years and vegan off/on. My weakness is cheese. I’ve tried vegan cheese and I just don’t like the taste. I want to go 100% vegan. Can anyone recommend a good vegan cheese?
