How To: Big Voluminous Curls on Natural Hair

Hey Sistas! Here’s a hair tutorial on how I achieve soft, big voluminous curls on my natural hair. This style must be done on hair that has been either blown out or flat ironed. I also included a quick makeup tutorial since a lot of people wanted to know how I achieve my bold, purple lip.

Products Needed:

  • Setting Lotion
  • Detangling Brush
  • Hair Rollers- I used around 30
  • Satin Bonnet
  • Hair Pick

The Process:

Step 1: Start in the back of your head with a medium size section of hair and spray it with the setting lotion
Step 2: Next, use your detangling brush to detangle the hair
Step 3: Take your hair rollers and roll the hair under until you reach your roots
Step 4: Repeat this process around the back of your hair, but when you get to the front, roll your hair up, not under
Step 5: Once you’ve applied all of your rollers, put on your satin bonnet before your head to bed
Step 6: the next morning, remove the satin cap and carefully take down the rollers as to not create frizz
Step 7: Use your hair pick to pick out your roots and create volume
Step 8: Separate the curls to create your preferred look. The more you unravel and separate the curls, the fluffier the style will be

  2. Did You use flexi or perm rods ? Absolutely Love how sleek and bouncy your hair looks ! Definitely going to try this next.
