Hey Sistas! Are you looking for a super cute protective style? If so, you should definitely give crochet braids a try. In this tutorial, I show you an easy way to crochet braid your natural hair using Cuban Twist braiding hair. Lets get started!
- 2 3/4 bags of Cuban Twist Braiding Hair
- Crochet Tool
Step 1: Start freshly washed, dry hair and create a cornrows design in the way you want your hair to lay
Step 2: Take a piece of the braiding hair and cut it in half
Step 3: Fold the hair in half and wrap it around your index finger
Step 4: Open the latch on the crochet tool and slide it under your braid
Step 5: Put the hair inside of the latch, then close the latch
Step 6: Slide the hair under the braid
Step 7: Remove the hair from the tool by opening the latch and place your thumb in the opening
Step 8: On the right side of the braid, twist the hair and pull it through the opening
Step 9: Repeat step 8, but pull the hair through the opposite side for extra security
Step 10: Split the hair and pull it snug to create the knot
Step 11: Repeat steps 2-10 around your entire head
*Note: Make sure you space out your hair in the back because it gets full really quickly. Also, make sure the pieces in the front are smaller so you cover up the braids.
