Hey Sistas! I’ve been rocking crochet braids for a while now, and I just wanted to share my experience with you. I absolutely love the convenience of wearing crochet braids, and protective styles are great to give your natural hair a break and try something new. As some of you may know, I had a horrible salon experience six months ago, and the stylist cut off way more hair than I would have preferred. Since then, I’ve been wearing more protective styles in an attempt to quickly recover from that hair growth setback. Initially I used three bags of Caribbean braiding hair, but it was way too big, so I removed some of the hair, then I put my hair in six big braids, knotted the ends, and dipped the braids in hot water in order to achieve this style. The hair was extremely soft and easy to manage and I would definitely recommend using this hair to anyone looking to experiment with crotchet braids. At night, I sleep with a satin bonnet and just fluff the hair when I wake up the next day. Very easy and super convenient. I kept this style in for 2 weeks, but it could last longer depending on how you maintain your hair.
