How To: Quick & Dry 30 Minute Wash and Go on Natural Hair

Hey Sistas, are you looking for a Wash and Go technique that won’t leave your hair dripping wet for hours? If you’re anything like me, you like wearing your natural hair in a Wash and Go style, but hate the fact that it’s not exactly as easy as simply washing and going. This wash and go tutorial will have your hair dry in 30 minutes. Yes, 30 minutes! Let’s go.

Products Needed:

The Process:

Step 1: Start with freshly washed hair and use a spray bottle with a mixture of aloe vera and oils of your choice to seal in the moisture .
Step 2; Split your hair in three sections with one part in the middle of your head, separating the front from the back and one part splitting the front of your head.
Step 3: Starting with the back section, take a portion of the hair and add the Camille Rose Coconut Water detangler and gently detangle your hair with your detangling brush
Step 4: Add a generous amount of the Camille Rose Natural Curl Maker to the section of hair you just detangled and rub it through
Step 5: Use you blow dryer to go over the section 3-4 times, just enough to dry the section without completely disturbing your curl pattern.
Step 6: Add a tad bit more of the Curl Maker to the section which will help to redefine the curl
Step 7: Repeat steps 3-7 all over your head. By the time you get to the front of your head, you may not need the dryer, so feel free to skip Step 6 if your hair is sufficiently dry
Step 8: Let your hair set — feel free to do your makeup or get dressed. Check out this tutorial for cute makeup look.
Step 9: Shake out your hair for volume
Step 10: Now this step is optional, but if you want to add some shape to your hair, use a blow dryer with a concentrator attachment to create your desired shape.

That’s it! Let me know if you end up trying this technique in the comments or in The Sistahood Forum! And subscribe to our YouTube channel to view more videos and stay updated on new uploads!

  1. I literally tried this wash and go 30 mins ago and so far I like it. I did it at night because I take too long to wash my hair and I wanted to see how it came out so in case I didn’t like it I could wash it out in the morning. But so far so good.
