How To: Simple Low Faux Bun on Natural Hair

Hey Sistas! Here’s a simple, yet easy, natural hair tutorial on how to achieve a super cute, low faux bun. Let’s get started!

Products Needed:

The Process:

Step 1: Start with semi-stretched, dry hair – it doesn’t have to be clean
Step 2: Part your hair in the middle of your head, stopping before you reach your ear
Step 3: Add the moisturizing cream to your hair and work it in with your brush
Step 4: Apply your gel for hold and pull your hair back into a ponytail with your Ouchless ponytail holder
Step 5: Bun the end of the ponytail or tuck it under, and use another Ouchless band to keep it in place
Step 6: Tie down your hair with the scarf to get of any frizziness
Step 7: Create a braid with your Kanekelon hair, but make sure it’s not too tight, and secure the end with a band
Step 8: Attach the braid to the bun and wrap it around clockwise,. When you get to the end, remove the band
Step 9: Secure the end to your head with as many bobby pins as you need to keep it in place
